Description

This Whipped Feta with Honey Dip is extra easy to make and a perfect holiday appetizer option. It comes together with minimal effort in just 10 minutes and is delicious, impressive, and memorable.

Ingredients

  • 8-ounce block of feta cheese, cut into small chunks
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 milliliters) extra virgin olive oil, or more depending on preferences
  • Zest from 1 small lemon (~1 Tablespoon)
  • 3 Tablespoons (63 grams) honey

Optional Garnishes:

  • Freshly-cracked black pepper
  • Finely chopped fresh herbs (chives, thyme, and/or rosemary)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: To a food processor or blender, add feta cheese, cream cheese, olive oil, and lemon zest.
  2. Blend: Blend all the ingredients until the mixture becomes smooth. If necessary, scrape the mixture down from sides of the blender with a rubber spatula, then blend again. If you want to thin the dip out a little more, add a little more olive oil.
  3. Transfer To Serving Dish: Use a rubber spatula to transfer whipped feta to a serving dish. Use a spoon to arrange dip around outside of the dish, leaving a hole in the middle.
  4. Garnish: Pour honey in middle of dip, then garnish with pepper, chopped chives, fresh thyme, and/or fresh rosemary.
  5. Serve: Serve with pita bread, crackers, vegetables, or bread.

Recipe Notes:

To Make In Advance: Blend all of the ingredients together as instructed in the recipe, then transfer the dip to an airtight container. When you’re ready to serve, allow the dip to sit at room temperature for a little while to soften up, or microwave for 10-15 seconds. Then, transfer the dip to a serving dish before adding honey and optional garnishes.

Refrigerator Storage: Transfer the whipped feta dip to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Stir the dip before serving again. If it’s too challenging to stir, transfer it to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until softened, about 15-30 seconds.
