I don’t know about you, but if you tell me you have an appetizer revolving something sweet, something salty, and wrapped in bacon, I will marry you. I will. Right then and there.
I just really love appetizers. And snacks. And tapas. And basically anything that allows me to consistently keep eating. Plus, there’s nothing better than mixing sweet, salty, and crispy. These Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts & Dates encompass basically everything that is good about food. The serving size is technically 6-8, but this is false advertising, I must admit. The serving size is 1. Trust me. You won’t be able to stop, and I do not blame you. Prepare for the entire pan to be empty in a few short minutes.
As a side note, make sure you take the time to find locally-raised, antibiotic-free bacon. Support your local farmer and your local butcher. Pork is a meat that is regularly mishandled by the industrial farming industry, so do your research and find clean, whole cuts of bacon. It’s better for your health, the environment, and your taste buds.
Ok, now get to it. Bake these up.
